The idea for 'For Brothers That Talk' is to offer a safe space where we, as Black men, can come together to share our experiences, connect with one other as well as learn about the tools and resources that can help us prioritize our mental health. By hosting these sessions in a sauna we are able to also experience the many benefits this can have on the body. The session aims to bring together black men that have had reservations about speaking about mental health and offer a safe space to do so. A place to speak about our aspirations for the future, what we have learnt from the past, whilst making efforts to live in the present.
The aim of the session will be :
Discuss the barriers associated with black mental health and ways to overcome them
Promote and increase positive mental health
Create opportunities to express yoursel, speak, learn and empower each other
Experience the benefits of saunas and cold water plunging.
