Where to find us

The Eastway Baths, 80 Eastway, Hackney Wick, London, E9 5JH

We’re located in the backyard of an old 1930s Public Baths building. Enter through the front doors, walk through the café and head to the back right of the room. Through the door, you’ll find yourself in the East Wing. Step down the stairs, where the Hackney Wick Sauna Baths reception is to be found to your left.

5-person private group sauna

Looking to book for a large number, or fancy a bonding session with your friends or family? Our Haapa sauna fits up to five people and can be booked out exclusively for 90 minutes.

Cold plunge.

Cold plunge lovers are spoilt for choice at the Hackney Wick Sauna Baths. Start your session in our cold shower to ease yourself in. After your first sauna heat, when you’ve really heated yourself to the core - take the plunge of your choice in either one of our:

temperature controlled, ice cold plunge tanks (5-8° Celsius in winter, 10-14° Celsius in summer)

chill-bringing bathtubs or rustically converted whisky barrels.

You do not need to book the plunges. They come as part of your sauna booking.

Before your visit

    • Swimwear

    • Shower Gel

    • Towel to sit on in the sauna

    • Towel to dry off after plunge/shower

    • Pools sliders/ flip flops

    • Water bottle

    • Plastic bag for taking home wet belongings

    • Bathrobe (for using toilet and cafe facilities)

    • Sauna hat (optional)

    • We do not recommend walking around barefoot. The ground can be uneven at points, and dirt and grime get picked up and taken into the sauna and cold plunge. Please bring flip-flops or pool sliders to wear when walking around on the ground outside.

    • Please shower thoroughly before entering the sauna or cold plunge. We do not currently have a hot shower.

    • All belongings except sauna gear (swimwear, towels, hat, water bottle, flip flops etc.) must be kept in the main building, folded away in the lockers, boxes and shelves provided. We cannot be liable for your valuables, but we do have a safety deposit box where we can keep them safe should you wish.

    • The sauna is a hot place, and this is all thanks to the stove. Keep in mind that it is incredibly hot, and exercise caution standing up and moving about the sauna. Do not lean on the safety guard surrounding the sauna.

    • The sauna should be a safe space for everyone. If someone is making you feel anxious or uncomfortable, please tell your sauna host.

  • Please do a lateral flow test at home 24 hours before attending your sauna session. If it tests positive, please stay home, reschedule your appointment and consider getting a PCR test. If we are alerted that someone you may have been in contact with during your sauna session tests positive for COVID-19, we will contact you as part of the NHS Test and Trace scheme and ask you to follow current government guidelines on self-isolation
