She draws inspiration from her love of nature, history, and human connection and her singing style incorporates Makam, Jazz and World Folk.

Dunja was lead vocalist for the Royal Shakespeare Company, in productions such as Timon of Athens, Tartuffe, Museum of Baghdad, and Comedy of Errors. Dunja shares her music with others in the form of vocal workshops, where she uses her unique teaching method based around the emotion of performance.
